Revised Repost.
Some people will take our kindness for weakness, that’s just the way it be sometimes. But it should be understood that we’re not taking things lightly because we’re smiling or laughing, at times. Or because we’re not letting things bother us, or that they seem not to bother us; it shouldn’t be thought that we’re taking things lightly, no matter the subject or topic. And if anyone else is like that, where they take others kindness for weakness, we shouldn’t let that be the reason we start to do so.
People tend to act this way towards God, at times. We all may have taken His kindness for weakness. And we may take His mercy as a motivator for doing wrong, at times. Lord, have mercy. But we must and have to be real careful, if and when doing so(Rom.3:7-8). Because that same kindness can turn to anger, or even wrath, which is something we want no part of from the Lord(Ps.50:14-21).
We ourselves don’t like to be treated and dealt with in this way. So we should know, the Lord is this way as well. And the consequences for dealing with Him in such a manner can and will be devastating. So let’s not let His grace be spent on us in vain. But let’s take it, and show our gratitude for all His love shown towards us, always(1Cor.15:8-10; 2Cor.6:1-2)
So again, let’s be careful and strive not to assume or take our wrong actions, and God’s grace and mercy towards us for them, lightly. Neither let us deal with others in this manner as well, especially our fellow believers. But let’s be considerate and caring for one another. And let’s be appreciative, and seize the opportunity, for the kindness and mercy shown to us by any. And for the chances we are given to do the right thing towards all(Gal.5:13-14).
Because that’s what the grace, mercy and forgiveness is for. It’s not for us to take advantage of in a negative way. But it’s so we would be thankful, or change if need be, and to do the right thing always. And so we can show God’s love toward all, especially when given the opportunity to do so(Rom.6:1-2; Gal.6:1-2,10).
So let’s not be as those who do otherwise and deal with God and others to the contrary. Those who think since they may have gotten away with something [so they think], which causes them to believe that they can and should continue to do as they are(Eccl.8:11-13). Lord, have mercy. But they will have their day and it won’t be pretty.
So let’s avoid that set up, and use the love and grace shown to us, by repenting when need be and by doing the right thing. And let’s not ever take God’s or anyone’s kindness for weakness(Heb.10:26-31). And let’s continue to show that same kindness as well. And let’s strive to let the Lord deal with those who operate to the contrary, for us, as He will(Pro.1:22-33). By the grace of God. In Jesus name.
