As believers We are to confess our devotion to Jesus(1John4:15), as well as our sins to God and our faults to one another, and not just be telling or just talking and saying. But truly acknowledging Jesus in all we do. And owning up to our faults and repenting because of them. Well, that is if we want forgiveness, deliverance, health and help(Jam.5:16; 1John1:9-10).
When it comes to dealing with our sins and faults, there’s no need in trying to act as if they don’t exist, or that we don’t have any faults(1John1:8). Because we all have, may and do, fall short at times [though when in Christ Jesus, we don’t have to, neither do we have to stay down if we do](Rom.3:21-24). Thank You Jesus!
And So we need to acknowledge that, and be real. Because that’s the first step to us getting the help we need. After all God already knows, as do some who we may have offended, or have fallen around.
So let’s not just be telling of our faults, as in just letting it be talk. By not being contrite, and having no action following. But again let’s be real and confess our faults, when they come to our mind, and attention(2Cor.7:9-11). God will hear, help, heal, forgive and deliver. Because He won’t despise a contrite heart, at all(Ps.51:16-17).
That’s what He does, God’s full of mercy and is always willing to give it to us, and we always need it. So let’s not be letting it go to waste because we may want to play games and try to get over. It won’t happen with God(Gal.6:7). Lord, have mercy.
So instead of just being sorry, and just saying or telling of our faults; Let’s strive to truly learn how and to truly confess, and really acknowledge, admit and repent of our errors immediately, as the Lord gives us the grace to do so(Ps.51:1-3). By the grace of God. In Jesus name.
