In the moment of weakness, there ain’t no telling what we’d give up or sell out, to get what we want, in and at that moment. And there’s no restriction on who we’d go to for to get it, at times. Even as believers, it seems(Matt.26:41; Rom.7:15-25). Lord, have mercy.
Because we too may have these moments of weaknesses and they could be often. Especially if we aren’t doing as we should and getting stronger. But we can and should be going to Jesus for all our help, and to get all our requests answered(Phil.4:6). There’s no need to go anywhere else, compromise or sell out. God will provide for us. So there’s no need of doing otherwise and suffering the bad consequences of doing so(2Sam.12:8-10). Lord, have mercy.
So let’s be reminded of this and constantly feed on God’s Word of this truth. Because in those times of weakness God will help us(Matt.4:11), but it may be hard to recall and remember that God will supply all we need and more, and that He’ll give us the desires of our heart when we’re right with Him, in our moments of weakness(Ps.37:3-7; 84:10-12). But He will.
Especially with the devil trying his best to make us think otherwise. And even our own flesh working against us. But if we are taking heed to Jesus’ Word, on watching and praying; we will be that much more prepared in those times of weakness and in any other as well. Thank You Jesus!
So let’s get in the Word and get closer to God. And let’s strive with all that’s within us not to sell out the Lord for anything, anyone or at anytime. Even in those moments of weakness or any other. And if we have or even are prone to selling the Lord out in and for certain things and reasons, let’s repent and swiftly strive to do better(Heb.12:12-15).
Because we believers don’t have to sell out for, or in anything, but Him. And in and with Christ Jesus, when we’re weak we are strong. As long as we keep the faith, which He helps with always(2Cor.12:7-10). So let’s do so. By the grace of God. In Jesus name.
